Is the use of apps becoming more popular than going on a website?
According to this article on theguardian.com, yes it is. Research shows that US consumers’ use of websites has dropped down to an average of 22 minutes daily from 33 minutes daily back in March of 2013. The reason being is that, more people now own smartphones and those people spend nearly an average of 3 hours on their phones daily using apps. The use of apps raised from 80% and is now 86%.
A lot of this has to do with the fact that the US has a high-speed 4G connectivity that would not be an obstacle in using phone apps.
